Australia’s first Strangulation Trauma Centre to open in Brisbane.

Victims of strangulation need specialised and specific interventions and long term support that go well beyond what is provided by the current service system.

The Red Rose Foundation is planning to establish a strangulation trauma centre with a multi-disciplinary team to support survivors with immediate and longer term heath support, trauma counselling and a justice system navigator to assist victims with advocacy and support through all aspects of various court contacts including District Court.

We have the expertise, highly qualified volunteers, 2 current research projects on non lethal strangulation, an international partnership but no secure funding.

We have developed a visionary plan to do this, we already have a team of highly trained professional ready to go, we have the possibility of premises. We know we can do this.
