About
Mallacoota is a tiny coastal town consisting of about 1000-1200 permanent residents, this number swells roughly 10 fold to about 10,000-12,000 during the peak Summer period. The local businesses rely predominantly on tourism to get them through the year and this year Mallacoota has been ravaged by the catastrophic Victorian bush fires. Not only have those that were in the area now had to flee/evacuate but those that were going to come to Mallacoota during this time are choosing to stay away or have been unable to enter the town due to road closures.
Without help, these fires may cripple the Mallacoota economy and we are looking to raise some funds to allocate to some of the local businesses that have been hurt by these fires.
We are raising money to help local this local community
Allocations of any funds raised will be distributed to the following businesses as a priority: 1. Mallacoota Butcher Shop 2. Croajingalong Cafe 3. Lees Pizza and Take Away 4. Any other businesses are welcome to apply.
