Last Friday my mum and dad, my boyfriend and I were on our way to have a family weekend away in Brisbane, we were in a terrible 3 car accident. My boyfriend and I had stopped at the lights with my mum and dad stopped, f behind us. The next moment we heard a loud noise - and Quincy and I were lurched forward, from my mum's car pushing us.
A truck had plowed into the back of mum's car squashing her and dad between the truck and the back of our car. The car hit their car so heavily the airbags deployed and my mum fractured her arm and is covered is bruising and cuts. My dad has broken two ribs and two toes. I tore my calf muscle but have come off sparingly better than they are.
Their car has been totalled and the insurance company said they will only pay a tiny fraction of its worth.
I know we all experience difficulties in life and can feel the pinch and challenge. If you know my folks as I know my folks, you know their heart and home is always open.
I am trying to get some funds together to help them in this time as they both won't be able to work while they recover and mend with their injuries. Also that they have no car for now - but the cost of life doesn't stop so I wish to lessen the blow the best I can.
I am so so so grateful that they are safe and still with us here - I haven't experienced fear as I did not being able to see anything other than crushed car and airbags. I count my blessings that this is something I get to work WITH them in mending - and that it wasn't worse.
