About

This trip is pulled together by the Rotary Club of South Bunbury is not about creature comforts.

It’s a challenge, it’ll be dirty, dusty, maybe muddy but definitely tough.
The five days will see us driving thousands of kilometers through some of Australia's harshest terrain, sleeping on the side of the track, down by a tree or possibly in the rain. All in a car worth no more than $1,500.

Featuring a sunroof, leather interior, wheels, tyres and hopefully brakes too, our chariot, Eleanor is the pinnacle of German engineering excellence. With a mere 260,000 kms on the clock, she is in her prime and as such we have decided to compliment her majestic style and maintain a formal tweed dress attire for the entirety of the event keeping with her demographic.

We need your help to raise funds for the following charities. We are covering all costs of the event, including the car, so any donations will be greatly appreciated and will go directly to the charities below.

Car panels are now fully sponsored, thanks to our sponsors for their support!!

In order to provide tax deductible receipts. Donations are made to Mycause who will then transfer funds across to the following charities:

1) Australian Rotary Health. It is one of the largest independent funders of mental health research within Australia. (www.australianrotaryhealth.org.au/)

They also provide funding into a broad range of general health areas, provide scholarships for rural medical and nursing students, as well as Indigenous health students. Australian Rotary Health provides funding into areas of health that do not readily attract funding and promotes findings to the community.

2) Local Bunbury Organization Doors Wide Open (www.doorswideopen.net/)

Doors Wide Open is a not-for-profit organization providing access to a variety of services and resources to help people recover from addiction. They also provide a place for friends and family to have access to resources and services to help them to cope with their loved ones addiction, and to have a greater understanding of their addiction.
