My nephew Ayman was born in July 2017 with an ultra rare genetic disorder called Allen-Herndon Dudley Syndrome. It only affects boys and there are only around 320 cases world wide, with Ayman being the only one diagnosed in NSW.
Ayman was born as what we thought a healthy baby, then around 3 months old noticed he wasn’t meeting milestones and become very irritable. After numerous doctor visits and hospital stays, Ayman was finally diagnosed with Allen-Herndon Dudley Syndrome on 4/7/2018. This syndrome is a thyroid hormone deficiency which causes severe intellectual disability and problems with movement. These funds will be used to help get a van for Ayman to get him around more comfortably to appointments and therapy. My sister is a single mum who also has an intellectual disability. She lives at home with our parents who have to help financially support her. My mother had to give up full time work to stay at home and help care for Ayman. This has taken a huge financial strain on the family. Any donation big or small would be so greatly appreciated. I couldn’t thank you all enough for helping support little Ayman to live a more comfortable life.
Love you guys xo
