Support Tameika to be Active again and Manage FND

In March 2018, following 18 months of testing, Tameika was diagnosed with FND, Functional Neurological Disorder.

The condition is debilitating without treatment. It has also been difficult for her with no support around the home with everyday tasks. Funds raised will go toward treatment such as, visiting FND specialists not covered in the public health system in Victoria, Neuro physio therapist, Neuro psychologist, Hydro therapy 3 days a week, Neurologist appointments, Occupational therapist, medical costs, in home care when needed and a regular driver.

* FND is due to a problem with the functioning of the nervous system and thought to be the result of the brain’s inability to send and receive signals properly. It is a functional problem.
* FND is more common than multiple sclerosis.
* FND symptoms are real
* FND can cause impairment in quality of life that is similar to other neurological conditions such as , MS, Parkinson’s disease or Epilepsy.
