On Saturday the 16th of June, Gippsland Jersey and Wendy Gillam are bringing the Big Milk Freeze to Warragul.
This is the second year this event has been staged after last year’s fantastic event in Jindivick.
In Gippsland alone there are 23 people currently living with MND. One of which is Wendy Gillam who has been a friend of mine for over 10 years. Wendy was diagnosed with MND a few days before Christmas in 2016. Since then she has had to sell her business and give up everything she loves. Wendy and her husband Joe continue to fight on bravely!
I felt compelled to do something to support her and because of last year’s success, why not do it again!. Gippsland Jersey has a strong social media following that we often use to talk about issues surrounding mental health, rural suicide and the stigma attached to these things - why can't we do something visually fun to help educate people more about what MND is (and at the same time give Wendy a real pep up)!
