Reading out of Poverty helps Victorian children from disadvantaged communities discover the joy of reading. The Rural Hero grant would enable up to 30 children’s "pop up" libraries to be established in small, disadvantaged and isolated communities in north and west Victoria – towns and communities without access to a local library. Pop Up libraries will be established in community centres, GP surgeries and other local places. They will be stocked with a wide range of literature suitable for children of all ages, with an emphasis on healthy eating, active lifestyles and promoting good health and wellbeing.
