This October I will be joining a group of volunteers and cycling 450km through Victoria’s Goldfields for ChallengeMD. The ride will raise much needed funding and awareness for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a devastating muscle wasting disease that affects 1 in 3500 boys. Boys lose the ability to walk around 11 years of age and typically do not survive past their late 20s. No cure currently exists but we’d love your support to help get us there!
Money raised from ChallengeMD will go to Muscular Dystrophy Australia (MDA), a Melbourne based charity that funds vital research into the Muscular Dystrophies, in addition to providing programs and services for those affected by these terrible disorders.
This cause is very close to my heart, as I've been involved in MD research for the past 10 years. MDA was a pivotal support during my PhD research into new therapies for MD.
Please help me raise funds to support the important work MDA does in the MD community.
