I have chosen to embark on yet another 12 month fundraising campaign due to overwhelming demand, last year in just 8 months we raised $4,055 for Beyond Blue! This year I am fundraising for Sirens of Silence an organisation that provides vital support services to our triple zero heroes (Ambulance, Police and Firefighters). Sirens of Silence also aim to promote positive mental health and improve the lives of individuals, families and communities affected by depression, anxiety and suicide.

My aim is to run a minimum of one event per month in Perth with the added twist that my fundraising donors can choose the event and distance that I am to run.

Fundraising Options:
Once off Donation. You want to lend your support to this great cause with a one-time donation to help the Beyond Blue Foundation raise awareness of anxiety and depression in Australia

Choose the Next Running Event (< 10KM). Challenge me to complete any competitive or fun run event in Perth below 10KM in total distance. Minimum Donation $50. Leave your name and event of your choice in the comments section and ensure your first name is noted in the donor details.

Completion-Based Running Event Challenge (>10KM). You don’t want to let this unfit office worker off the hook easily! Offer a minimum donation of $200 for my commitment to complete any event of your choosing over 10KM in total distance. You donate based on the completion tiers below;

25% of Total Event Distance = 20% of Total Pledged Amount
50% of Total Event Distance = 40% of Total Pledged Amount
75% of Total Event Distance = 65% of Total Pledged Amount
100% of Total Event Distance = 100% of Total Pledged Amount
NOTE: I will cover the cost of entry fee to the nominated events.

About Me:
I am a passionate recruitment consultant and manager for the resources and infrastructure sector in WA. Having worked in the resources sector for over 5 years I want to be able to give back to the industry by raising money for my chosen charity. Mental health issues are prevalent in the FIFO community with long rosters, remote conditions and limited communication impacting families, relationships and mental health. I am certainly not a professional runner, but I figure if I can encourage others to speak up, seek support or be able to identify the signs of mental illness I have made a difference.
