When Barry was given his MND diagnosis in June 2015 he had no idea how much it would impact his life.

As the disease progresses it is gradually robbing him of his mobility.  Every day Barry and Carol are facing new challenges.  Fortunately MND Victoria is delivering a variety of services that make life a little easier for them both.  Thanks to the generosity of our supporters we have provided Barry with an adjustable bed so that he can sleep more comfortably as well as other assistive technology including a manual wheelchair.  Barry finds walking any distance very difficult now, so the wheelchair is invaluable in helping him stay in touch with his family and friends.

Access to the right equipment quickly and at no cost to the person with MND is vital for families living with this disease.  It empowers them to remain independent for as long as possible.

For 35 years MND Victoria has been delivering care and support to people living with MND.  Without our services many people with MND would not be able to remain independent and living at home.

Your generosity touches many families every day and will for many years to come because our equipment lending service ensures that much needed equipment is used again and again.
