My name is Mikayla and I have experienced four surgeries over the past three years as a result of my hip dysplasia. During my time in hospital as a young girl I was presented with a teddy bear on one of my first visits and this was very comforting to me during this hospital stay.
Some hospitals such as the Royal Children's do not currently have this program in place and as a result I have committed to raising funds through the sale of Hip Dysplasia Organisation "Healthy Hips for Life" wristbands.
All proceeds, along with any donations through this cause will assist me in purchasing teddy bears to hand out to orthopaedic kids in the Platypus Ward at the Royal Children's Hospital.
I am raising money to buy soft teddy bears to hand out to kids in the orthopaedic ward at the Royal Children's Hospital.
