This year I'm embarking on a challenge that's a little different to last years 24hr ride.
This year I'll be completing a Swim, Run, Row and Bike to continue on the path of completing a challenge that's both physically and mentally challenging to raise awareness for mental health and raise money for Lifeline WA, a suicide prevention and crisis support organisation.
The special thing about this event is each distance represents a statistic for mental health in Australia.
$39 will fund 1 crisis support call 3.9km swim
Over a lifetime, around 13% of Australians between the ages of 16-85 will seriously consider suicide. 13km run
One in five (20%) Australians aged 16-85 experience a mental illness in any year. 20km row
75% of those who take their own life are male 75km bike
