The 2013 Westlink M7 Cities Marathon will be held on Sunday 28 July. The Marathon will be supported by the Marathon Relay Challenge (21.1km x 2) and Kids Marathon Series (2.195km).
 
Race start time is 7.00am from Ash Road, Prestons which is adjacent to the Liverpool City Robins Football Club. The nearest major cross road is Camden Valley Way, Prestons. 
 
2013 will be the 8th year the Cities is held on the Westlink M7 shared pathway from Prestons to Rooty Hill. It is point to point with 1 turn around at the 32.5km mark (Quakers Hill). Starting at Prestons (Liverpool City, NSW) participants will travel through the following suburbs; Hinchinbrook, Hoxton Park, West Hoxton, Cecil Park, Horsley Park, Eastern Creek, Rooty Hill, Glendenning, Plumpton, Oakhurst & Quakers Hill. Blacktown International Sports Park is the finish venue (athletics facility) for the race.
 
The 42.195 km course is IAAF/AIMS Certified Accurate and the event is a member of AIMS (Association of International Marathons & Distance Races.
 
The MARATHON COURSE is an undulating path, which is sealed and uninterupted for the 42.195km journey. The steepest section of the course starts from the 7km mark with a gradual incline to the 11km mark. The hills on the course are mainly short and sharp.
