What is the Dollar-for-Dollar Red Poppy Fundraising Appeal?
On Remembrance Day, 11 November 2014, Australia stops to commemorate the great sacrifices of our armed forces and civilians through times of war.
Each year on the lead up to Remembrance Day, the Returned & Services League of Australia (RSL) launches the Poppy Appeal. An iconic symbol of Remembrance Day, The Poppy Appeal aims to raise funds to assist current and former serving members of the Australian and Allied Defence forces and their dependents in times of hardship.
This year, ADCU and RSL Money are showing their continued commitment to our returned service men and women, and will be raising additional funds towards the cause. We will be launching a fundraising initiative known as the ‘ADCU and RSL Money, Dollar-for-Dollar Red Poppy Fundraising Appeal’ and will match all money donations made through our online fundraising page.
What will my funds go towards?
All funds raised will be donated directly to the Returned & Services League of Australia (RSL). Funds will ensure that programs are in place for the well-being, care, compensation and commemoration of current serving and ex-service Defence Force members and their dependents.
What is the minimum donation amount?
The minimum donation amount is $2.
What is the target?
ADCU and RSL Money will match a maximum of $5,000 in contributions. All funds go towards the RSL Australian Forces Overseas Fund (AFOF).
