Malvern Central School is organising its inaugural Walk-A-Thon program on the 31st of July 2014. The MCS Walk-A-Thon is a great way for the entire school to get active and raise money for some exciting new items for our classrooms, playgrounds and school.

We are hopeful that friends and family of each student will support the Walk-A-Thonand encourage children to participate in this terrific event. The MCS Walk-A-Thonwill be held in Malvern Gardens and involve the collective group of Malvern Central School children walking the equivalent distance of Melbourne to Sydney and back to Melbourne –approximately 1,700 km.

Each child will be encouraged to walk around a supervised track and complete 3kmin 1 hour or less. All children will receive a participation certificate and can win some sensational prizes.

To sponsor a student, simply enter their name in the Sponsor a Student section of this site and click on their individual page. From there, select how much you would like to sponsor per 100 metres your child plans to walk. For example, if you were to sponsor your child for $1 per 100 metres he or she will walk; your total donation would be $30 (30 x 100 metres = 3km).
