Do you love WA’s natural places and wildlife, and enjoy spending time in the outdoors?

Communities and individuals all over Western Australia will be hosting fundraising activities and events throughout May 2015, to celebrate our connection to living oceans, rivers and bush areas.

Whether you host an eco-themed BBQ, a beach clean-up with friends, or a film night in your local community centre, anyone can take part and make a difference during Eco May.

Find out how you can host an activity during Eco-May:

Celebrate Eco May by running a community activity and pledging your donations to CCWA.  Click here

Organise a physical challenge such as a walk, hike, climb or trek activity to raise money for CCWA. Click here

Organise a social activity like a BBQ, Picnic, Dinner or Morning Tea and collect donations for CCWA. Click here

Eco May volunteers and CCWA are supporting volunteer event organisers with tips, event guides and promotion to the wider Western Australian community.  Organisations and groups that work to ensure that future generations have the same access and ability to enjoy the natural world that we do, will be hosting events including guided bush walks, forums and festivals.

Here are some ideas to get you started planning now...
  • Invite your friends + neighbours around for an eco-themed film screening or ‘zero waste’ BBQ
  • Organise a tour of your local recycling centre to find out where your waste goes.
  • Organise a beach, river or bushland cleanup in your local area
  • Plan a camping or hiking trip to immerse your family or friends in nature
  • Organise a volunteer or planting day for your local environment group
