Aloha to all Runners and Walkers!

Swaying Palm Trees, Sunset Beach, Pineapple Plantations, Diamond Head Crater...
Honolulu is famous for its tropical charm, azure waves, and bottomless Mai Tais, but it also has a rich history, visible in its people, architecture, and cuisine. Be sure to visit landmarks like Iolani Palace, the Bishop Museum, and the majestic U.S.S. Arizona Memorial as you take in the sights and sounds of Honolulu!
When you stay with D-Buddies, your hotel is located in Waikiki Beach. Each year, millions of people flock to this 'Playground of the Pacific' to enjoy the fabulous restaurants, nightlife, and recreation within its 1.5 square-mile perimeter. A welcome contrast to this hustle and bustle is Hanauma Bay, one of the world’s most pristine nature reserves, located on Oahu’s southeastern coast. In this diver’s paradise, butterfly fish graze snorkeling tourists, moray eels pass underfoot - you may even encounter a sea turtle! Or you can head to the North Shore and cheer on some of the world’s best surfers as they combat waves as high as 25 feet on the Bonzai Pipeline...
Picture Yourself Walking or Running Across Honolulu...
As befits one of the Top 10 Marathons in the world, Honolulu has a magnificent course and great spectator support. It is a walker-friendly event that also has a 10K race. This year's Honolulu Marathon brought together over 28,000 participants from all over the world. Each year, fireworks announce the beginning of the marathon on Ala Moana Boulevard, the 'path by the ocean.' The course passes by world-famous Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head and Koko Head volcanic craters. The terrain is level except for short uphill grades around Diamond Head. Marathon finishers receive lovely shell necklaces with their medals and finishers' certificates.
