Distances

What's your distance in 2012?
There is a distance to suit everyone, no matter what your age or fitness level.

42k Marathon
The Perth City to Surf marathon has become the largest marathon field ever assembled in WA and has been dubbed 'the most beautiful marathon in the world'. 2012 will see the picturesque event return for run number four.

The 2012 Marathon is an opportunity to challenge yourself to achieve something very special - a reward for commitment and desire. Whether you're looking for the ultimate physical or mental challenge, this distance allow you to achieve something amazing.

21k Half Marathon
This is the perfect distance if you are stepping up from the 12km or warming up for next year's marathon!

The Half Marathon had its inaugural run in 2007 and has been a hugely successful addition to the event programme growing rapidly in its first five years. Participation numbers in 2011 once again eclipsed those ever seen before for a race of its distance in Perth. In 2012 we expect the Half Marathon to attract over 3000 runners.

12km Run
This year will see the return of waved starting times for the traditional 12km distance and groups to suit varying fitness levels, designed to ensure every participant can run at their desired pace. This is the mass event with over 30,000 expected, it is a rare and special running experience.

12km Walk
Take part in the traditional 12km walk from the City to the Surf.

There is always huge participation in this distance and it’s a great morning out, not to mention a great workout!

4km Run/Walk
The 4km Walk/Run course continues to grow in popularity! The event starts at McLean Park in Floreat and travels through City Beach to the same finish line as all other distances.

This distance is a great way to get involved and a good starting distance for beginners and our School Challenge participants.

Participants are welcome to take part with prams as long as they start at the rear of the field.

4km Wheelchair
2012 sees the wheelchair race start from the 4km location at McLean Park in Floreat. All wheelchairs are welcome however if you do not intend on racing you are required to start at the rear of the field in the 4km Walk category.
