Why?
There are over 40,000 young people in Australia without a place to call ‘home’. We’re going to change that, by training, employing, and supporting under-privileged youths, while giving them an opportunity to leverage themselves out of a bad situation.
What is a social enterprise?
A social enterprise adopts a relatively traditional business model, and finds market solutions for social problems. In our case, we sell crêpes and coffee with a view to turning a profit, which will then be reinvested into funding our own training program as well as other programs that support disadvantaged young people.
How, exactly, will we eliminate youth homelessness?
We believe in a hands-on approach to addressing social and economic disadvantage, and actively work with the young people we help through our program, which provides under-privileged youths with hospitality and barista training to enable them to develop the skills needed to find long-term employment.
