For more than three decades OVIS Community Services has empowered people impacted by family and domestic violence to strive for a better life that is free from violence and abuse.

Our person-centred services which include crisis accommodation, support, early intervention and education are aimed at enabling clients to make sustainable changes for a safer life.

Pat Thomas Refuge, operating 24/7, offers a secure place for women and children to go in crisis.  Support staff are on hand to provide one-to-one emotional and practical support including advocacy and referrals to specialist services.  Transitional housing and post-crisis support services further empower people to continue their journey towards a safer life.

Located in the Peel region OVIS work in the community to raise awareness and deliver education centred on preventing and overcoming violence.

The OVIS name embodies our purpose and the value we provide to our clients and our community which is to Overcome Violence and Inspire Safety.

Donations
Donations are always welcome as they enable OVIS to fund education, prevention and outreach programs that help us achieve our mission.    Every donation is a building block towards changing the story of domestic violence and changing the lives of people that engage with our services.
