The Birthing Kit Foundation works in partnership with the Australian community to create a world in which all women and girls have access to a clean and safe birth.
Tragically, 295,000 women die from pregnancy and childbirth related causes each year, and close to 2.5 million babies die within their first month of life.
This is preventable. This is why we exist.
By raising funds for BKFA (or hosting an assembly day), you can help to address this problem. Our Clean Birth Kits help to save lives and address the global problem of maternal and newborn mortality.

We assist women in the most challenging of situations - those who for reasons of isolation, cultural choice or poor transport have little or no assistance during childbirth, often giving birth at home. In these conditions, many mothers and babies die from preventable infections.
By providing a Clean Birth Kit these mothers have the resources to reduce infection.
