The LET’S TALK Initiative arose in response to the increasing loss of life to suicide in South West Victoria. LET’S TALK aims to reduce the stigma of mental illness, increase help-seeking behaviour and raise the level of community competence in supporting someone with mental health issues. The Initiative delivers this message through workshops in schools, clubs, large businesses, volunteer and community groups. The program involves presentations by people with lived experience of mental illness and mental health professionals and provides a resource pack to take home.
