Stand Up

Stand Up aims to mobilise the Australian Jewish community to actively pursue social justice for all through programs that:

~ Empower refugees

~ Engage with remote Aboriginal youth

~ Educate the Jewish community about how to change the world

 

Specific projects include:

  • A Bnei Mitzvah social justice education program
  • Women's groups for Sudanese refugees, and tutoring groups for Sudanese secondary students
  • Youth holiday camps in remote Aboriginal communities.

These programs are powered by over 200 energetic, talented and dedicated volunteers in Victoria and NSW. Stand Up aims to actualises the Jewish values of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world), Chessed (kindness) and Tzedakkah (pursuing justice).
