Sock it to Sarcoma! was the vision of Abbie Basson who was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma at the age of 17.

She was determined to make a difference for those diagnosed with sarcoma by:

  • Funding research into sarcoma, a rare and aggressive group of primary bone & soft tissue tumours
  • Driving community education and awareness around symptoms of sarcoma and early referral to the WA State Sarcoma Service.
  • Better understanding for sarcoma patients through community awareness.
  • Supporting gold standard holistic clinical care for sarcoma patients and their families.

Sock it to Sarcoma! has now invested over $1 million into sarcoma research, has a very active patient support program and education and community awareness activities.

In her words:

'It can't help me, but it can help someone else. What happeneed to me was for a reason - perhaps this was the reason?'

With your help, we can continue to make Abbie's vision a reality.
