REACH Newcastle provides a safe/regular place in a prominent location in the CBD that makes contact with a wide range of people in the community. These people could be affected by homelessness, drugs and alcohol, mental health issues, or just lonely.  It provides a free BBQ, water, clothing, blankets, hygiene bags, weekend survival packs and referrals to other health and welfare organisations.

REACH Newcastle’s activities indirectly benefit the wider community by helping reduce incidents of alcohol abuse, antisocial behaviour and helping alleviate the burden on the public welfare system by rehabilitating homeless individuals and empowering them to become independent and proactive members of the Newcastle community.
