Aussie Farmers Foundation provides charitable support to rural and regional Australia. Aussie Farmers Foundation was formed in 2010 and since then we have given over $1.2 million in grants to rural and regional communities in need.
Rural and regional Australia experience a number of issues including financial hardship, lack of health services, social isolation, unemployed youth, mental health problems, agricultural issues as well as businesses moving offshore or closing down.
We strongly believe in assisting charitable organisations who are working alongside local communities to boost their strengths, plus, where there are gaps, look at ways to make a difference to the health and wellbeing of rural and regional communities.
The Foundation’s focus areas are determined based on the current issues impacting rural and regional Australia. This includes these five key areas:
Economic wellbeing of farms and farming families
Disaster relief for farming communities including drought
Kids health & healthy eating including food provenance awareness
Food waste and food security
Mental health for farming communities.
The Aussie Farmers Foundation was established by Aussie Farmers Direct as an extension of their commitment to support Aussie farmers. The Foundation is grateful to the generosity of Aussie Farmers Direct customers whose donations are critical to our ongoing ability to support Australian communities in need. Aussie Farmers Direct guarantees 100% Australian made & grown fresh food, and is dedicated to supporting and sustaining Australian farmers. It is a unique business that puts purpose before profit, supports fair farm-gate prices, pairs old fashion values with a modern, convenient way of shopping, and works to reduce food kilometres.
