For most, the reason for giving begins at home. We want outstanding care, for those who matter most to us. Most of us, or someone we love, has been cared for at a local public hospital. Through the Mackay Hospital Foundation you can invest in YOUR local hospital to ensure outstanding care is available to all who live, work here and visit our area.
 
The Mackay Hospital Foundation is a community driven charity, providing fundraising support to the Mackay Base Hospital and all other public hospitals in the Mackay District.
 
We partner with our community and invest in:
  • medical and health technology;
  • innovative health services and initiatives;
  • support services for patients, their families and hospital staff;
  • world class training and education;
  • and research.
 
Government funding provides essential health services but it cannot pay for everything. The Foundation’s role is to fill the gap; to provide those extras that will help patients to receive the finest health care possible and support hospital staff, to have the best working environment to provide it.
