How to post an update to increase donations

Updates are a great way to let donors know how your campaign is going and show how their hard-earned donation is being used. By posting these updates, you also keep donors and followers aware of your campaign’s progress.

These updates also show people that you are truly dedicated to your cause, which will encourage them to continue supporting your campaign by sharing your cause on their social media channels.

Everyone is able to share a campaign via Facebook, Twitter, email, LinkedIn, Pinterest or Google+ directly from a mycause crowdfunding campaign.

Once an update is posted, donors and campaign followers are sent an email notification, letting them know about the update with a link to the frp.

Campaign creators are able to post an update by logging into their account either on a computer or on a mobile phone.

An update is also the perfect way to thank your donors once you have reached your crowdfunding target. You can use the opportunity to thank everyone who has assisted you, including photographs in your update to show everyone how their generous donations have made a difference.

How do I post an update?

  • Log in to your mycause account
  • You will arrive at the mycause dashboard
  • Select ‘Post an update’ OR ‘Thank your donors’
  • Upload your photograph and type in your update
  • Select ‘Post on my Fundraising Page’
  • Share via the Facebook and Twitter buttons below.
