It seems that every day, somebody somewhere needs help. They are always somewhere else, not here, not with me, not with my family - until now. Little Levi, only 6 years old has endured more than any person I know in his short little life.
He has already had 4 major operations, life saving operations, operations on his brain.... operations that cannot even take away this horrible thing, this thing that has hardened, crystalised, and glued itself to his brain. We have been told now, that he MUST have radiation, that's the next step - we don't know what will come after. Little Levi has already become Legally blind, having lost 60% of his eyesight, he now uses a cane but is very aware of the stares and whispers.
All I know is, this family, Levi, his brother Cailan, his father Josh and his mum Allison need to catch a break.
They need to be able to do what MUST be done without fear, or worry of where the money will come from, they need to know they can and will be able to pay for anything that pops up, from the toll charges for the travel to and from the hospital each day, the fuel, the horrendous hospital parking fees - maybe even some accommodation costs so that they can stay closer to the hospital. Maybe they will be able to finally finish the repairs to the little house they want to call home so that Levi can once and for all rest is head in a place called HOME.
Maybe, after the treatment, after the worst is over, just maybe they can have a family holiday. This is a family that needs, once and for all, to catch a break. Levi, my darling grandson, get well soon champ. xx
You are an inspiration! Wishing you all the best!
