Every child needs a mother, right?  In 2016 Bahay Tuluyan aims to shelter 200 children in its shelters.  To do this, we need to provide at least 12 house mothers (or fathers) to be substitute parents while these children can't be with their own families.

Our house parents give so much of themselves to the children that they work with. Beyond the basics - cooking, cleaning, helping with homework - these wonderful men and women provide a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on and someone to laugh with.

In 2015, a total of 232 children found a temporary home in Bahay Tuluyan's shelters.  They came in times of crisis, when there was no one else to go or no one else to care for them.  Happily many of these children are able to be reintegrated into their own families within 2 years.  In the meantime our house parents work hard to make as safe an environment for the children as possible.  Somewhere where they know they are loved and cared for.

It costs BT approximately $7,000 p.a. to provide a mother to children in need.  Will you help us reach our goal of raising enough money for a dozen mothers?   Every little bit helps.

We will acknowledge all donations of $100 or more on a 2016 Honor Board at BT in Manila.
