My name is Elliot Christmas and my favourite animal in the world is the Orangutan. They are beautiful, intelligent and funny creatures. They share 96.4% of human genetics...thats almost 100%! I have written a letter to Julia Gillard about this issue. The Borneo Orangutans are critically endangered because their habitat is being wiped out and replaced with palm oil plantations. By Christmas 2012 there may be no wild Borneo Orangutans left. Please try to avoid palm oil products. Remember, extinction means forever. It would be fantastic if you could donate to my fundraising page and help me reach my $5,000 goal to save the Orangutans by Christmas! (yes, my last name really is Christmas too)!
