Sponsor me and support Breast Cancer Care WA through my personal challenge to swim the English Channel in August.

The English channel is the big stretch of water between England and Europe, measuring 34km point to point and the average water temperature during the summer months is 15.5 DegC (60F).

A Channel swim is a battle of one small swimmer against the sometimes savage vastness of the open sea. A channel swimmer needs to overcome the cold, the unpredicatable weather, strong tides and the challenge of navigating through and giving way to multiple international shipping lanes and the busiest passenger ferry route in the world. All these challenges combined are probably the reasons that only 10 percent of those who start the swim finish.

I am pleased to be supporting Breast Cancer Care WA and supporting women and their families through their own challenges. Breast Cancer Care WA provides personalised emotional, practical and financial support and care to people affected by breast cancer at no charge.
