Dear all,

I'm Li-Ann Leow, a student researcher and volunteer for Parkinson's WA.

This year I'm running my first City to Surf to raise funds for Parkinson's WA, in conjunction with Parkinsons Awareness Week 31 Aug to 5 September. Being a student researcher in contact with individuals with Parkinson's with my work, I bear witness to the monumental role that Parkinson's WA serves for the Parkinson's community in WA.

Parkinson's WA is primarily funded by donations, membership fees, fundraising events, corporate and community sponsorship, bequests, memorials and grants. It does not receive any government funding other than The Health Department part funding the Parkinson’s Nurse Specialist service, who do a great deal in improving the quality of life of people with Parkinson's in metropolitan and regional WA.

Please support Parkinson's WA, and help increase awareness for Parkinson's.

Since 1984 Parkinson's WA has provided much needed support to more than 20,000 people living with or affected by Parkinson’s in Western Australia. Parkinson's WA is unwavering in its commitment to providing relevant and quality services to maintain well-being, dignity and quality of life.
