UPDATE: They finished the walk as planned. It all went really well and they had a fantastic time. They all had carried stones in their pockets across from coast to coast and put them in the water at Robin Hood's Bay. Larry is tired but recovering every minute. Jo looks as though she could walk across Australia now! They raised much needed funds for Heartfelt House!!!! Thank you! They are now indulging in family hospitality with strawberries and raspberries for picnics.
ACE stands for Aussies Crossing England. We are Larry Rawstorne, Joanna Murphy, Scott Rawstorne, and Janelle Rae.
"Australians Crossing England" on the "Coast to Coast" came about when Director of Heartfelt House Larry Rawstorne's daughter Jo told him she'd like to revisit with him parts of England where family history had been made. One of the focal points was a place called Goathland (sometimes known as Aidensfiled in Heartbeat) a small village on the Yorkshire moors where Larry's parents had met and done their courting. In early June, Larry, Jo and son Scott and Scott's partner Janelle will embark on a 320 km "Coast to Coast" walk from St Bees in the west to Robin Hoods Bay on the Yorkshire Coast. All going well it should take 17 days. We hope to raise at least $10,000 for Heartfelt House along the way and appreciate any assistance you can give us in reaching that target.
Heartfelt House is a unique organisation that provides support to adults sexually abused as children. For more information about Heartfelt House, go to www.heartfelthouse.org.au
I hope you had a lovely trip and made it all the way... sorry I am a bit late!
