SIDS and Kids is one of Australia's best known and most trusted not-for-profit organisations.  It is an international leader in promoting infant health. SIDS and Kids deliver on our vision through world class research; evidence based education and bereavement support; and advocacy.  The SIDS and Kids Safe Sleeping program has been instrumental in reducing the SIDS infant mortality rate by 90%.

SIDS and Kids also provide bereavement support to Australian families who have suffered from the sudden or unexpected death of a baby or child, regardless of the cause. This bereavement counselling is offered free-of-charge 24 hours a day to all Australian families. Approximately 9 children under the age of 4 years die everyday in Australia! And approximately 60 people are directly affected by the death of a child.

SIDS and Kids Victoria now offers services to those affected by the death of a child who dies suddenly and unexpectedly from 20 weeks gestation to six years of age, regardless of the cause of death. The children may have died from SIDS, stillbirth, drowning, motor vehicle accident, fire, sudden onset illness, homicide or in some other way.
