This year, the MS Society of WA celebrates 35 years of supporting Western Australians – a milestone we couldn’t have achieved without you.
The MS Society provides a welcome sanctuary for medical, physical and emotional assistance to its ever-increasing list of Members. From its headquarters in Wilson and outreach groups at Beechboro, Bunbury, Albany and Rockingham, the Society provides a range of essential services including physiotherapy, home nursing, immunotherapy support, counselling, occupational therapy, hospital liaison and respite care. The Member Services team support the highly-regarded wellness model for patient care – encouraging and educating their members to manage their disease with healthy living, physical activity and appropriate medical support.
Each year the Society is set a charter to raise in excess of a million dollars, independent of government assistance, to fund vital services for Members. Its annual fundraising program is as diverse as the disease it supports – covering raffles and lotteries to stair climbs and musical theatre.
Over the last two years, the success of these fundraising programs has enabled the Society to increase professional health care services to its Members by a meaningful 28%.
We want to beat MS, and with your support we can do it!
