Charity Walk - Friday 5th July

SIRFC are supporting two charities on the 5th July with a sponsored 10k walk. We are looking for participants, organisers and of course sponsors for the event.

The charities involved are Hearts in Union and the IRFU Charitable Trust. Both of these charities support rugby players who have been seriously injured playing our sport.

The walk will take a route famous for the spectacular scenery. The group will meet 10am Friday morning at Potts Point to catch the ferry to Manly. From Manly Ferryport the walk begins, hugging the coast to all the way to Spit Bridge, and a final leg from Rosherville Reserve up to Taronga Zoo.

Participants need to raise $250 in order to take part. Sponsorship sheets are available upon request.
It's a tough but rewarding task, and is a great chance to meet the 'tourists' from the IRFU Charitable Trust tour group who will be completing this walk as the final leg of their two week fundraising tour in Australia. All participants will be provided with entry to the SIRFC guest speaker night on the evening of Friday the 5th July. With guest speakers like Jim Williams, Peter Clohessy, Mick Quinn and Frankie Sheehan it promises to be a great night.
