Hangout for the Homeless - 21 September 2013
Hangout for the Homeless is an initiative of Kids in Philanthropy. It aims to raise awareness of youth homelessness and to raise funds for Kids Under Cover.
KIP is a sub fund of the Sydney Community Foundation. It aims to grow the culture of giving and doing in Australia by engaging kids and giving them opportunities to learn and develop as young philanthropists and changemakers. Kids are empowered as changemakers by participating in opportunities to help other kids.
Families will be “sleeping out” at The Edge, Federation Square. (Flinders Street opposite Flinders Street Station) on Saturday 21 September and will be sponsored by family and friends to do so. Families are asked to assemble at The Edge at 5pm for activities, information sessions and dinner! Please bring a sleeping bag and warm clothes.
Registration cost is $60 per family. We then ask you to send this link to your family, friends and colleagues to ask them to sponsor you. The proceeds raised through sponsorship will be going to Kids Under Cover, an organisation that does incredible work in preventing youth homelessness.
