What is Mushrooms and Motorbikes? Its an idea created by like minded, free spirited individuals who not only like their mushrooms, but also like to ride bikes.This September a group of 25 riders, from all over the world will travel from Sydney to Perth to raise money for cancer charities. All in good fun, good taste and with a focus on good health.
Naturally enough the plan is not to just hop on the bikes and ride off into the sunset. Our tour planner, David Tolson from Elf Mushrooms has carefully dissected the route to get from Sydney (well Windsor actually) to Perth in a relaxed seven days. The route out through Broken Hill, down to Port Augusta and across to Perth will take in some magnificent country and give everyone the chance to look around and also have a great ride. It should be fun.
If you look through the itinerary you will see a couple of days where we cover over 700 kms. While this seemed like a solid ride to me, David assured me that this was little more than the distance he covered most Saturdays. Lead on David!
