Living in good company
Benetas is a not-for-profit provider of aged care services. Each year we support over 4,000 older people to live fulfilling lives through our aged care homes and community services across Victoria.
Our mix of residential care, in-home care, respite care and housing services ensures our residents and clients can stay with us and move between our different services as and when they need them. We also provide specialised care and expertise in dementia, palliative and culturally appropriate care for people from non-English speaking backgrounds.
Benetas was established in 1948 when a small group of volunteers from the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne responded to an urgent need to provide care and support to older Victorians. More than 60 years later we now operate as a not-for-profit organisation employing over 1,400 staff and 400 volunteers. As a not-for-profit, all revenue we generate is redirected into our services to improve the lives our clients.
Benetas has a vision for the future which presents an ideal scenario for the provision of aged care, and the establishment of an inclusive society for older people. It is our aim to be a leading advocate in promoting the voice of older people. We are also dedicated to conducting research and to translating research findings into evidence-based practices which are innovative and improve aged care services across Australia.
You can help Benetas continue our work to provide quality community services and residential facilities for older Victorians, their families and carers. Donations can be in the form of monetary gifts, bequest in a Will or the donation of your time as a volunteer.
You may choose to make a donation to the Benetas One Wish Program. This is our grant program that provides special one-off gifts to Benetas clients which will fulfil a lifelong desire or dream. With the support of donations, we can make their wishes come true.
