Our goal is:To provide care and support to children and youth in need by providing recreation, education and activities that build life skills as a foundation for a brighter future. The Girls and Boys Brigade believe that all children deserve a bright future. To achieve this GBB provides a safe and trusting place for our local children and youth to build resilience, practical life skills and healthy relationships through recreation activities, educational support and personal encouragement. GBB cares for children, youth and their families who often experience significant socio-economic challenges in their lives. We welcome cultural diversity and respect differing family values and circumstances.

Donate to The Girls & Boys Brigade

The Boys and Girls Brigade makes a difference in the lives of children and young people in Inner Sydney. It’s not simply an after-school care program but a vital emotional support and network for children, teens and parents experiencing disadvantage. As parents and arts-professionals, we are mutually aware that although the arts can develop expression, communication-skills and cultural-awareness, they are not accessible to all Australian children in the same way. Two years ago, we proposed a Christmas dance program to Stefan and Curly at The Girls and Boys Brigade. It was our hope that willing children could attend dance classes of various genres with professional dancers and a Christmas performance by The Australian Ballet. It was a success and under the creative direction of these two brilliant men, we would like to extend the vacation program to all school holidays and the wider arts. In lieu of gifts for Ulyana's Christening and First Birthday, we are inviting guests to support The Girls & Boys Brigade's School Holiday Program. The program provides access to enriching educational, cultural and recreational experiences that they may not otherwise have the opportunity to enjoy. From excursions and hands-on learning activities to cultural experiences that broaden horizons and build confidence, these programs will create lasting memories while helping young people develop important life skills, friendships and a sense of belonging. Your support will help ensure more children can participate in these inspirational experiences and enjoy the opportunities every child deserves. Thank you for helping create brighter futures for young people and families in our community.
