Conquer Cystic Fibrosis (CCF) is a completely volunteer based, not for profit organisation that relies completely on the generosity of our family, friends and generous individuals and corporate sponsors to achieve our goals and mission.  Because we have no paid staff or overheads 100% of the money raised by CCF is used to fund the research required to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis (CF), the most common life-threatening recessive genetic condition affecting Australian children today.

Since CCF’s first fundraising event in 2002 we have raised more than $3.5M (profit) for CF research and services.  These amazing outcomes could not be achieved without the ongoing support of our many wonderful sponsors.

Last year this support ensured CCF could establish and contribute funding to some very significant research projects including:

  • The Australian Cystic Fibrosis Research Trust.
  • The Telethon Kids Institute (TKI) to support the TKI artificial intelligence project.
  • Institute of Respiratory Health, as part of the Conquer Cystic Fibrosis Research Program.
  • CFWA to support services for families living with CF here in WA.
  • CFPhysio.com.  This funding will allow CFPhysio.com to continue to develop online resources to support people with CF and their caregivers.  The financial assistance from CCF will ensure CFPhysio.com can become a dynamic resource for the benefit of the wider CF community.
  • The Anna Tai fellowship.  The Anna Tai fellowship will ensure the CF and Bronchiectasis Research Group can continue to investigate how patients may benefit from novel drug therapies, diagnostic imaging techniques, molecular epidemiology of infection and psychosocial interventions right here in WA.  The group are recognised as world leaders and have an extensive collaborative network with leading researchers in CF throughout Australia and internationally.

These projects all have the potential to drastically improve CF care worldwide and will ensure the researchers are a step closer to providing a better quality of life for all people living with Cystic Fibrosis.

With your support we hope to continue to support research that can make advances in research and treatment for all people with CF possible.
